I‘m driven by a thirst to explore, create and to simply work. I feel an ongoing sensation for and an engagement with ceramic materials. These mediums are part of my life, through which I can express myself, or communicate a wide range of ideas and inspirations. I‘m fascinated by the power of clay to build an intimate relationship with the viewer. I like to play on a thin edge, between objects of use and sculptural pieces. And, also, I can catch a glimpse of usefulness by creating objects for everyday life. My aim is not only to create these pieces, but to build a complete atmosphere. Sometimes, it is me shaping some clay, at another time the material is reshaping my personality – and, through my artwork, I’m keeping an open dialogue with the outer world.
Since 2012 I cooperate with Linda Viková – together we found si.li. This label is focused on designing and production of house ware. I work for Slovak Design Museum as a external curator of a Collection of Ceramics.
